What is the difference between a radio edit and a DJ edit/remix?
A radio edit shortens your existing song while keeping its structure recognisable. A DJ edit or remix reworks the arrangement, for example with a longer intro and outro for DJ use or different instrumentation for a new occasion.
Do I need to send stems, or is the finished song enough?
For a radio edit, the finished song is usually enough. For a more extensive DJ edit or remix, clean stems are helpful but not required: I also work with the finished mix, though the result is then a bit more limited.
What occasions is this suitable for?
For example a shorter version for radio or social media, an extended version for a DJ set, an alternative version for a wedding or party, or a new remix for a further release.
How do I send my material?
As a link to a cloud storage service (for example Google Drive or Dropbox), without me having to request access beforehand. You enter the link directly in the purchase options.
Is a round of revisions included?
Yes, one round of revisions is included in the price. Further change requests can be arranged separately if needed.
Do I need the rights to the song?
Yes, this work requires that you hold the necessary rights to the submitted material, for example as the author, performer, or with permission from the rights holders.
